Peter John de Savary

International Ambassador for Inward Investment

PRESS RELEASE

22 June 2012

Peter de Savary, the well known international entrepreneur, philanthropist and yachtsman, has been appointed by the Government of Grenada, with diplomatic status, as an international Ambassador for Inward Investment.

Peter de Savary (www.desavary.com) resides in Grenada and has been a citizen for several years. He has significant business interests in the country and historic links having first visited Grenada as a boy in 1952. Since 1976 he has been actively engaged in business throughout the Caribbean.

Peter de Savary is quoted:

"Grenada represents an outstanding opportunity for investment today in a beautiful country blessed with a population of charming, friendly and skilled people. In terms of tourism, it can be compared to Barbados and St Barths in bygone years. The realistic prospects of oil and gas production and the peaceful nature of this democratic small island nation are amongst the obvious reasons for discerning and qualified investors to look further at the Grenada opportunity. I am delighted and appreciative of the honour and responsibility bestowed upon me and will enthusiastically seek the interest of suitable international investors for the benefit of the people of Grenada and investors alike".

The investment climate in Grenada is both stable and opportune. Reliable and sophisticated infrastructure, together with excellent air travel links, are positive features for foreign investors who can also benefit from significant and valuable Government concessions including meaningful tax incentives. Grenada is a forward looking independent country that believes "It is the right place and the right time" to attract discerning investors.
